Well, dear readers, I am happy to let you know that more and more the rough program of our weddingceremonies is getting ready... as well as in The Netherlands as in Thailand.
Well, on the 7th of October I hope to celebrate my 50th birthday, as the dutch saying goes: I'll hope to see Abrham ;-)
On the 8th of October, at 16.00 hours, Kik and I hope to say "yes" to eachother and from that moment on we will be lawfully married .... and the greatest part of it is that more and more countries are starting to recognize unions as ours... and hopefully in the near futur Thailand wil be one of them !!
ON the 9th or 10th we will leave Holland and fly down to Thailand together as a couple, yeaaahh!
There I'll bring Kik to the Temple of his choice to withdraw in it to prepare himself for our Bhoedist marriage. He wil do so for 23 days......... Kik was born in 2523 (the Thai follow the counting of the years folowing Bhoeda's death 2551 years ago ;-) and we chose the 23d of november for our weddingdate in Thailand!
Both our dates, the 8th and the 23d, have been settled after Kik had consulted his 'mother' in Bangkok. Do not confuse the word mother with our western understanding of it. In Thailand "mother" is used for wise (sometimes old) men who advice on all kinds of things in life of the Thai, like whats the best day to get married. Kik got the advice of his trusted mother in Bangkok and am myself happy to follow his advice in this!
The 11th of november was just as good, but Kik had preference for the 23d, because of his year of birth ... and am totally happy with it because I also like use of symbols, may it be dates, or otherwise ... its good, and most time makes you feel much more comfortable with it and so create your own good feelings and therefor most likely good omens as well.
I got a little bit shocked when Kik told me sofar they expect 900+ guest on the 23d of november ... a somewhat higher number of people then I expect to attend our civil wedding here in Delft, hehe
I will send out to all the poeple whom I have emailadres from, etc, the first pre-invitation, in dutc and in english, so everybody who want to come to either weddingceremony can let me know, and mid/end august I hope Kik and I can send out a printed invitation to all who reacted positivly. Mid october we'll also send a more specified invitation for the Thai weddingceremony.
The closer we get to all the dates, the more, sometimes crazy idears, hit my mind ..... lets se how crazy I'll become, haha
